4.1.3.Manual Sorting in Categories & Search result page

Using ElasticSuite you can arrange the order of products contained on the product overview page and the search result page manually. This is especially useful in case you want to display e.g. bestseller products or products that you want to get rid of as the first items.

Manual Sorting on product overview pages

In order to perform manual sorting on category level access CATALOG / INVENTORY / CATEGORIES and select a category from the category tree on the left-hand side. Now expand the PRODUCTS IN CATEGORY section. Here you can do the following:

• SEARCH: You can add products to the category manually. In the product grid search for the product 
  (e.g. by SKU or Name) and mark the checkbox on the very left side.

• MANUAL SORT: In the PRODUCT LIST PREVIEW AND SORTING check the “AUTOMATIC SORT” 
  checkbox on the product items below. The checkbox name will be now changed to “MANUAL SORT”. Using the drag & drop button on the top left corner of the product item you can use the drag & drop approach to perform manual sorting.

• HIDE PRODUCT: In the PRODUCT LIST PREVIEW AND SORTING check the “HIDE” button on the 
  product items below (top right corner). The product is now hidden in the given category.

When the changes have been made click “SAVE” in the top section on the right-hand side.

Manual Sorting on search result pages

In order to perform manual sorting on the search result page access REPORTS / MARKETING / SEARCH TERMS. Every search term shown here has a potential search result page whose result display you can modify. Click a search term and click “MERCHANDISER” on the succeeding page. Here you can do the following:

• MANUAL SORT: Check the “AUTOMATIC SORT” checkbox on the product items below. The checkbox name will be now changed to “MANUAL SORT”. Using the drag & drop button on the 
  top left corner of the product item you can use the drag & drop approach to perform manual sorting.

• HIDE PRODUCT: Check the “HIDE” button on the product items below (top right corner). The product is now hidden in the given category.
