2.17. Content Scheduling (PRIVATE)
The following feature is not part of default content constructor module. It requires installation of additional module which is currently only available to creativestyle merchants.
The content scheduling feature allows defining when a component should be visible.
Configuration is done inside a new field set called “Content scheduling” that is available for every content constructor component.
There are three ways of configuring time ranges:
Only
from
the date is filled: the component will be visible from the specified date indefinitelyOnly
to
date is filled: the component will be visible immediately after saving the page and will not be visible when the date is metfrom
andto
date is filled: the component will be only visible after from date and will be hidden afterto
date
Tip:
In case the admin user wants to schedule the change of only one teaser in an existing “image teaser” component, the duplicate feature will be helpful (see screenshot below).
In the duplicated component, the specific teaser can be adjusted. Be aware to schedule a to
date in the old component and a from
date in the duplicated component.
Example scenario:
We want to add a new teaser to the hero carousel with information about a promotion that starts on. We want the teaser to start being visible on 05/08/2022 at 13:35
Steps to achieve this using content scheduling:
duplicate the original hero component
set
to
date in the original hero carousel to05/08/2022 13:35
add a new teaser to the cloned hero carousel
set
from
date in the cloned hero carousel to05/08/2022 13:35
Video demo
The above scenario can be seen in the following video (the current hour is displayed in the bottom right corner):
The component might be visible with some small delay up to maximum of 1 minute from the defined time (most of the time it is around 5-10 seconds)
