Magento 2 automatically generates new URL keys for products in certain cases, e.g. when renaming the product. In such cases Magento 2 does also generate rewrites automatically. In order to remove URL rewrites resulting from the old and inappropriate product settings, you can use the MageSuite URL regeneration featureMageSuite URL regeneration feature. You can trigger the URL regeneration on both product and category level.

product grid find the products which should where the URL regeneration take place and mark the checkboxes the checkboxes in the select column on the very left side. Now click the ACTION select and choose
“REGENERATE URLS”. For the selected products both old URL keys should be removed and the new URL structure should be applied.
