4.4.Back-In-Stock Subscriptions

With the Back-In-Stock subscription, customers are automatically informed by e-mail as soon as the goods are back in stock. This allows you to keep your customers up to date with the stock availability.

In order to activate the Back-In-Stock Subscription access to STORES / SETTING / CONFIGURATION and then navigate to MAGESUITE and BACK IN STOCK SUBSCRIPTIONS. In the “ENABLED” dropdown select “YES” to enable Back-In-Stock Subscription functionality. With its activation, an opt-in field can be found on every product detail page.

In each respective dropdown menu different settings can be selected:

  • AUTOMATIC REMOVE SUBSCRIPTION: Enables automatic removal of subscription after sending an email notification.

  • IS HISTORICAL DATA KEPT: When disabled, subscriptions will be completely removed from database.

  • IS CONFIRMATION REQUIRED: When enabled, customer receives e-mail with a confirmation link.

  • SUCCESS MESSAGE (CONFIRMATION REQUIRED): Defines a message that will be displayed to the customer on the frontend, when he subscribes to Back-In-Stock notifications and e-mail confirmation is required.

  • SUCCESS MESSAGE (CONFIRMATION NOT REQUIRED): Defines a message that will be displayed to the customer on the frontend, when he subscribes to Back-In-Stock notifications and e-mail confirmation is not required.

  • EMAIL SENDER: Here you can select the e-mail contact in Magento 2 
    that should be the sender’s e-mail address.

  • CONFIRMATION EMAIL TEMPLATE: Here you choose which e-mail
     template will be sent to each customer after sign-up.

  • AUTOMATIC NOTIFICATION EMAIL TEMPLATE: Here you can select which e-mail template is automatically sent as soon as the subscribed product is back in stock.

  • MANUAL NOTIFICATION EMAIL TEMPLATE: Here you can select the e-mail 
    that should be used for manual notifications.

  • CRON SETTINGS: Here you can define the timing of the cronjobs sending e-mail notifications.

  • MINIMUM TIME BEFORE NEXT NOTIFICATION IS SENT: Here you specify the minimum time (in seconds) between Back-In-Stock notifications for the same subscriptions. If empty, no minimum time is checked.

  • DAILY LIMIT (PER SUBSCRIPTION): Here you can specify the daily limit of email notifications per subscription. If empty, no limit will be applied.

  • When the setting has been made, click “SAVE CONFIG” on the right-hand side in the top area.
