3.4.6. Expected delivery indicator

With the Expected Delivery Indicator the customer gets an information about the estimated shipping date. It is shown on every Product Detail page within the buybox (“You can get this product on 23.03.2020 (Monday) if you buy it now”) listed beside other indicators mentioned above. Providing the user with details on the estimated shipping will benefit the conversion.

If you need to configure your preferences for this feature, please proceed to STORES / SETTINGS / CONFIGURATION and expand MAGESUITE / POSITIVE INDICATORS. Find EXPECTED DELIVERY section and enable or disable this feature by choosing one of the dropdown options.

In the DEFAULT SHIPPING TIME text field, integer value can be entered. This value will be used to calculate the expected delivery date in days, e.g. present date is 18.03.2020 and input is “2”, then the store front expected delivery date will be shown as “20.03.2020”. The calculation will only apply to WORKING DAYS meaning that if you haven’t selected “Saturday” and “Sunday” as working days it will not count into the calculation, e.g. present date is 19.03.2020 (Thursday) and numeric value is “2” then the expected delivery date will be shown as 24.03.2020 (Tuesday) since only “Friday” and “Monday” are defined as working days. Please also consider to adjust TIME TO SHIP TODAY settings described below.

In the WORKING DAYS multi-select field mark the days the Expected Delivery Indicator should
be active, i.e. Expected Delivery will apply.

In the HOLIDAYS input you can enter dates where the expected delivery date will not apply (similar to the days not marked in WORKING DAYS). However, these dates do override the days marked in the WORKING DAYS multi-select, such as Christmas holidays. All dates (each day) needs to be put in here separately, comma-separated.

In the TIME TO SHIP TODAY input field enter the exact time which the orders are to be shipped. E.g. if the input is “16:00” then every ordert until this value will be included in the calculations to an expected delivery date. E.g. present day is 16.03.2020 and before 16:00 then the delivery expected day will be calculated as 18.03.2020 in the store front. In case it is 16.03.2020 and after 16:00 then the store front will show 19.03.2020 instead.40
